I thank God for the Vision Academy Apologetics course I could facilitate! We went through the textbook I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist, covering topics including truth and epistemology; the design of the universe, first life, and new species; the moral argument for God; miracles; the reliability of the NT; and the evidence for Jesus' resurrection from the dead. Along the way, we discussed other topics as well, including why a good God would allow evil, why God commanded the killing of many people in the OT, why there are so many Christian denominations, and what happens to people who never hear the gospel. We also talked about critical theory and engaging in spiritual conversation with Muslims. Each week, there was some assigned reading with a few reading questions, and I gave presentations on the course material and other topics. Then, we discussed the material, and students asked questions they had. At the last class session, I assigned a fieldwork project to talk with an unbeliever about some of the course material and write up a description afterward, with a deadline of two weeks, so I am still awaiting those results. Although 25 or so students registered for the course, around ten attended the first few weeks, which dropped to about five for the last couple of sessions—perhaps because students became busier at the start of the spring semester.
